  Accelerometers

The advances in Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology has enabled motion detection to be implemented in many applications for various industries. These incredibly small sensors – called accelerometers – which are barely bigger than the head of a pin, measure acceleration, motion, vibration, shock, tilt, and inclination.

MEMSIC is the first and only company to offer a single chip accelerometer using a standard CMOS process. MEMSIC has a unique, patented thermal technology upon which we have based our entire family of consumer, automotive and industrial accelerometers.   Magnetometers

MEMSIC’s family of magnetometers are available in both dual-axis and three-axis versions. They are based on anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) Permalloy technology sensors, which have superior accuracy and response time characteristics, while consuming significantly less power than alternative technologies. The magnetic sensors are designed in a Wheatstone bridge configuration to detect the changes in the external magnetic field. The magnetometer provides a store or setup function of the internal magnetization field. The MEMSIC magnetometers are ideal for electronic compass, GPS navigation and magnetic field detection applications.
